West-Oak High School student arrested for alleged threats

A 16-year-old West-Oak High School student has been arrested after allegedly placing threats on MySpace.com, a popular Web site for teenagers. Oconee County Sheriff’s officers plan a 10 a.m. news conference today at the Oconee County school. School officials said many parents opted to keep their children home today, and additional police officers were posted at the school. The student is being held at the juvenile detention facility in Liberty. (more...)
