Amherst students arrested for taking air pistol to school

An Amherst high school student is facing weapons charges after a boy was seen carrying a gun on school property. The Grade 11 student at Amherst Regional High was removed from school Tuesday afternoon after students reported seeing a gun in a backpack. The gun turned out to be a low-velocity air pistol.
